Artwork by MJC Professor JOEL HAGEN to be featured at ShockerFest

Joel Hagen's art work was commissioned by Japan's NHK television network for their Space Millennium Series in 2001. He was asked to create convincing life forms for Europa and for early Mars with a solid scientific foundation. Some of the assumptions for environmental conditions on Europa were partly based on the concepts of two specialists who were also involved in the project.

The design of these two biomes proved to be an interesting cross cultural experience for Joel Hagen who is currently a professor in the computer graphics department of Modesto Junior College. The 24 panels on display are the final designs that were then used by NHK writers and animators to produce their television special.

HEIDI MARTINUZZI added to Guest Roster.

Noted genre writer and actress Heidi Martinuzzi has been added to the guest roster for ShockerFest. Heidi co-starred Nightwalkers 2: A Dead Thing, and the upcoming Troma film Slaughter Party. She appeared in Come Get Some More, and Chris Seaver films (all supported and funded by Troma).

She is also a film reviewer and interviewer for Film Threat Magazine, Bloody Disgusting online, Rue Morgue Magazine, Variety, and owns the women in horror site www.pretty-scary.com.

GUNNAR HANSEN to appear at SHOCKERFEST 2004 in West Coast Premier of CHAINSAW SALLY.

Thanks to Mark Redfield (known to ShockerFest fans for his roles in The Road/Despiser and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde), Chainsaw Sally will hold its West Coast Premier at ShockerFest 2004. In addition to Redfield, other cast/crew members will be present including GUNNAR HANSEN, writer/director JIMMYO BURRIL and more.
