Fireside Foundation, Inc., the organization that brings you the ShockerFest International Film Festival has announced the dates for this years event. Watch for more details of the events to be posted.

September 24, 2004

7 am: Doors open for Dealers and Exhibitors.

10:00 am- 12:00 noon Workshop Set #1 Workshops ticket only $15.00 or as part of weekend package.
*******Screenwriting - How to Write a Screenplay - Conducted by Dan Decker, AUTHOR OF anatomy of a screenplay
*******Make Up FX for the Low Budget Film Maker conducted by Rick Gonzalez(Day of the Dead) and Edward Martinez
*******Acting for Cinema and Television conducted by Charles Holiday, founder of A.C.T. in San Francisco.

12 noon to 1 pm Lunch Break

1:00 - 3:00 pm -- Workshop Set #2
*******Shocking Screenwriting - conducted by Dan Decker , author of ANATOMY OF A SCREENPLAY
*******Movie Music conducted by Robert Alpert, TV and Film composer, and Mara Fox, TV and Film Music Coordinator
*******Using the SAG contracts, a Guide for Independents conducted by Charles Holiday.

4:30-6:30 pm - Opening Credits - Beer, Wine and Cheese reception and mixer, at the Red Lion Hotel. Tickets only as part of Dinner With The Stars. This event is very limited seating and preference will be given to those attending the Dinner With the Stars event. Tickets available at the Modesto Convention and Visitors Bureau office - 1150 9th St, Modesto (209-526-5588) or by calling George Baker at 209-537-5221 only, or as part of the Dinner with the Stars or Weekend Package ticket purchase. 7-11 pm - Dinner with the Stars -- The Dinner will be held at the Red Lion Hotel and will feature a buffet supper and a cash bar. Tickets $40.00 per person. Tickets are strictly limited and available at the Modesto Convention and Visitors Bureau office (209-526-5588), the State Theatre (209-527-4697) by telephone at 209-537-5221 or online at Pre Sale Ticketing.

September 25, 2004 -- Ticket prices $15 for all day.

8 am - 9:30 am -- Film makers Breakfast and Reception, Modesto Centre Plaza. Time for film makers to check in, receive Festival packets including ID badges, etc.

10 am - 9 pm -- Movie Screenings -- All times are approximate and subject to change. The time scheduled for each film includes approximately 5 minutes for Question and Answer session after each screening.

10am - 5 pm -- Film and Television Symposia -- Scheduled through out the day will be presentations by producers, directors, actors, musicians and musical coordinators, casting agents and screenwriters with an eye to providing information for the budding film maker, and a glimpse behind the scenes in the making of television programs and films.

9pm to 11:00 pm -- Costume Party at Center Plaza. Tickets $5 per person or as part of the daily pass, or weekend ticket. Prizes to be awarded for Best Costume.

September 26, 2004 -- Tickets for all events (except Wrap Party) - $15.00
10 am - 6 pm -- Film Screenings --Screenings of competitive films in all genres. Modesto Center Plaza.

6 pm - 7 pm -- Shocker Awards Presentation -- Arbor Theatre -- Presentation of all awards and a salute to the competing film makers.

7:30 pm - ???? -- Wrap Party -- A final opportunity to get together and network with people of like mind. CASH BAR and open to all ages 21. Fat Cat Saloon. Entertainment is possible. Available only to attendees of the Film Festival. Not open to the public.
